Haven’t been in a long time, since they did buffet style. My cousin & I went yesterday & everything was cooked to perfection, honestly better than i remember. That was the first time I had “the itis” after a meal in so longggg lol! Only disappointment was they didn’t have smothered porkchops but the fried porkchops were still really good! The koolaid was also really good!! We WILL be back!

Excellent food. Fried chicken, mac n cheese, n yams were excellent n wife enjoyed her meal as well. Affordable specials are around $9.50. Entree, 2 sides, cornbread, n drink. Very filling. Highly recommend n will be going back.

The food came out fast and it was delicious! The staff was welcoming and although some things were out they definitely made up for it with what they did have. I'll definitely be going back!

Very glad I came here today . The food is excellent. Jasmines service with people is very pleasant an peaceful. Down to earth spirit. I couldn't leave the parking lot the food was soooo mouth watering. The meat loaf just melted in my mouth. I saw people of all nationalities coming into this black own establishment for lunch . This is the best service I have seen in along time. I will be back . God bless

A bit disappointing that they didn't oxtails since I specifically waited for the weekend to try, but overall good first time visit. The food items were all quality and all the sides were authentic and homemade feeling. Would definitely make a return trip.

The food was amazing, forgot to take pictures but we had the fried fish and fried chicken. Which both are a great pick. I did have to have the chicken because they ran out of smothered pork chops. So next time I will try those. The mac and cheese, greens, canned yams and mash potatoes were all tasty. Our waitress was amazing and very friendly. I would definitely recommend this resturant. Enjoy

My family and I absolutely LOVED eating at Mrs. Kitchen Soul Food Restaurant. :) I genuinely feel that this restaurant is a hidden gem right in Windcrest, Texas. More people should know about this welcoming and heart warming place. The food was delicious and the staff felt like family. The baked chicken was some of the most moist chicken I’ve ever tasted and the corn, small pops of warm, juicy goodness in your mouth. Everyone is able to conversate and laugh without any complaints, which is rare in the food industry nowadays. I highly recommend Mrs. Kitchen Soul Food Restaurant if you are looking for food to nourish your soul! <3
